What to send there
- Corrections. Include the URL, the specific figure and, where you have it, the source that shows the right number. Corrections are made in place with a dated note, see the editorial standards.
- Market data and methodology. If a rate, capacity or schedule claim looks wrong, say which index or advisory you are comparing against. Differences between index methodologies are worth a note, not a correction.
- Tips and documents. Links to primary material beat summaries: carrier advisories, port notices, filings. Say clearly if something is off the record.
- Rights and takedowns. If you own material that appears here and believe it is used beyond fair quotation, say which item and where.
- Advertising. No display advertising is sold directly and no sponsorships are accepted, so there is nothing to negotiate.
Response time
Expect a reply within a few days. Corrections that affect a published figure are handled first.
